Preliminary Task

For our Preliminary Task we had to produce a short film witch had to include 3 different camera techniques and two characters who had to engage in a conversation. We had to film a person walking up to a door and opening it and then walking across the room and sitting down in front of another character and then they wound engage in a conversation. The 3 different camera techniques that we had to use were the, 180 degree rule, match on action and shot reverse shot. These techniques would make the piece run more smoothly and look more professional.  To start off with we had to plan what our story was going to be about, then we had to write a script and make a story board to help us when filming to know what scene came next. We had to go out and film the piece all by ourselves using a camera and tripod and then after we had finished the filming we had to edit the the clips we had to make our film using iMovie.
